The RRHC Board enjoyed Pleasant Hill's 47th Annual Community Awards Night last night at the Community Center. We are so proud that our own Marian Woodard and John Matthesen won the Mayor's Award for their work in starting the urban farm at Rodgers Ranch six years ago!
John later presented the Green Community Award to the MDUSD Garden Education Project, which Marian is a part of, so John and Marian went up to the stage twice last night! Congratulations on your awards and thank you for all your amazing work!

In memory of the Rodgers family, Happy St. Patrick's Day to our Members, Friends, and Families!3/17/2018 Peter Schumacher from the Mt. Diablo Beekeeper's Association taught yesterday's beekeeping workshop. We learned about bee anatomy, getting started on keeping hives, bee-friendly plants, current challenges to the bee population and more.
