RRHC recently installed a tankless water heater under the sink in the farmhouse’s kitchen! This type of water heater is about the size of a small suitcase and is much more energy efficient because it heats water directly and only as needed, without the space requirements of conventional water heaters and without the expense of having to maintain and recirculate hot water during times of inactivity. The new heater is nothing to look at, but we love it and look forward to having plenty of hot water to do dishes properly! This is imperative for regular usage, events throughout the year, and the DVC Culinary classes, taught by RRHC Board member John Matthesen. This water heater was made possible through a grant from the Pleasant Hill Community Foundation.
