Last night, President Denise Koroslev taught "Home and Body: Keeping it Simple," a workshop in the sustainable workshop series RRHC co-hosts with Sustainable Contra Costa. Denise provided a wealth of information on identifying and ridding toxic chemicals that we often take for granted in our home cleaning and toiletry routines as being "clean and natural." She showed us how to make DIY laundry soap and hand cream, and everyone went home with samples and lots of resources. Photos by Alison Clary

If you think that cleaning your house is a simple routine, I guess you need to think twice! Of course, there are certain rules that you got to make. Some are very complicated to understand, that's why you need to look on the technicalities of the items you use. There are also times wherein you need to make DIY laundry soap and hand cream so your cleaning process could be more effective!
