Kelly Bradley's summer camp, "Little House at Rodgers Ranch," influenced by Laura Ingalls Wilder's beloved book series "Little House on the Prairie," has been super popular with campers. Participants register through PHRPD, and there's one camp left this summer, July 23 - July 27 (Monday - Friday, 9am - 3pm). Last week, kids played oak gall relay races, tried quill writing, created a tent fort out of branches, baked cookies from a solar oven, did embroidery on muslin cloth, tried laundry the old-fashioned way (by pumping water and using washboards and a wringer), met some furry friends, made shaved ice with fruit, and did lots and lots of other crafts and activities! I am happy to see all these wonderful photos! These kids surely enjoyed a one day chance to enjoy a free day and be with their loved ones. If I was given the chance to do that. I am pretty sure that I will grab the chance and encourage my parents to join me. But I am just too busy and broke for that. So I need to delay my plans and have it scheduled next month. That's the perfect time for me to do this plan I had on my mind.

This is such a cool summer camp experience, I look forward to trying to enroll my 8 year old son next summer. Any plans on doing something around Thanksgiving or spring break?
