Rodgers Ranch Heritage Center (Formerly Friends Of Rodgers Ranch)
Our Mission: "To preserve, restore and maintain the Rodgers Ranch Historical Site as a living history museum including the education of its historical significance and the importance of green, sustainable living."
F.O.R.R. was formed as a non-profit organization in 1986 to raise money for the restoration, preservation and maintenance of the Rodgers Ranch Historic Site, a Pleasant Hill Recreation and Park District property. In 1991 the 1867 buildings were listed on the National Register of Historic Places and represent the few remnants of California's wheat growing past and Pleasant Hill's oldest structures.
In 2014 F.O.R.R. officially became the Rodgers Ranch Heritage Center (R.R.H.C.) while expanding our outreach and impact within the community. We continue to make great strides towards restoring our Wheat House, along with the upcoming installation of a monument dedicated to the Rodgers, storyboards and new site signage. We have also expanded our offerings of classes and workshops relating to green, sustainable living. To learn more click on Join Us!
