Home Preservation: Pickling, Fermenting, and Kombucha Instructor: Jennifer Brennan October 17, 6 - 8pm, $25 Why pay for expensive fermented drinks or veggies when you can make them at home! In this 2-hour beginner's class, learn easy, introductory methods to safe, healthful and approachable ferments, including kombucha, vegetables, and simple pickling that can easily be made in your own kitchen. Learn double fermentation process for brewing kombucha safely, sample various flavors, and take home a SCOBY (symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast) along with some starter to create your own brew at home*!
