We kicked off a new workshop on sustainable entertaining tonight! Ten registrants sampled delicious cocktails and appetizers while learning how to host parties this holiday season without putting so much strain on the environment. Five speakers from Sustainable Contra Costa, Rodgers Ranch Heritage Center, and Rodgers Ranch Urban Farm gave mini presentations on how to decorate, eat, drink, and manage waste properly at their next shindig. Everyone had a wonderful time at Harvest Festival this past Saturday! We had a beautiful day and an excellent turn out. Thanks to all our friends, family, members, and neighbors who shared the day with us! A huge thank you to all our community partners for coming to share information on their organizations and providing free, fun activities for families! Painted pumpkins left behind went to a good cause: We donated some to the Monument Crisis Center and others to an elementary garden class demo on seeds.
