Learn how to preserve the bounty of summer in this beginner's class! We will share tips and pointers to get you started on home canning with confidence. In this hands on workshop, students will learn some easy methods of fruit jam preparation that will take the mystery out of homemade jams. A basic water-bath canning demo will give you a good foundation to preserve at home. We will touch on other methods of food preservation, and everyone will receive handouts and take a jar of preserves home.
$25 Fee, plus materials fee (less than $10)
